MSPControl Provides an Active Directory Password Filter to allow the capture of Active Directory Password changes outside of the MSPControl Interface. This allows you as a service provider to close the loop on Password compliance and enforce that users must adhere to password changes system wide.
Download and Install Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Runtime Tools on all Domain Controllers Download Here
Download the MSPControl Password Filter here and extract the files, navigate to the x64 folder and edit the MSPControl.PasswordFilter.config file, make sure your WebDAV Portal URL is in place of the example URL and ends with /esPasswordFilter.asmx
Once you have saved the file you will need to copy both files in the x64 directory to the C:\Windows\System32 folder on ALL domain controllers in your MSPControl environment (not your customers domain controllers).
Install the Password filter by following guidance available at Microsoft.com Microsoft: How to configure Password Filter to register the password filter on your MSPControl Domain Controllers.
In MSPControl Task Scheduler under System Space create the global task “User password expiration notification” and configure the scheduling to run once a day to send out Password Expiration Emails to Peers and Organizational Users.
