Space Add-Ons

The Space Add-Ons page lists all additional services, features, and licensing components currently assigned to a specific hosting space. These add-ons extend the functionality of the main hosting plan and can include email accounts, storage capacity, Microsoft 365 licenses, or specialized hosting resources.

Space Add-Ons

This page can be accessed from the Space Statistics section by clicking View All Quotas and then selecting the Space Add-Ons tab. It allows reviewing all provisioned add-ons for the selected hosting space (e.g., Hosted Organization).

Tabs

The interface includes two tabs:

  • Space Add-Ons — Displays the list of all add-ons currently linked to the hosting space.
  • Hosting Plan — Shows details about the active hosting plan and its configuration (described separately in the Hosting Plan section).

Add-Ons List

Each entry in the Space Add-Ons table represents an individual service or feature associated with the hosting space. The table columns include:

  • Name — The name of the add-on (e.g., VirtuWorks Hosted Services – FTP 1 User, Microsoft 365 Business Standard 1 User – P1M/Monthly).
  • Quantity — Number of allocated items or user seats available for that specific add-on.
  • Creation Date — The date when the add-on was activated or provisioned.
  • Status — Indicates the operational state of the add-on (e.g., Active).

Column Visibility

Use the Column Visibility menu in the upper-right corner to customize which fields are shown in the table. This helps simplify the view when managing a large number of add-ons.

Typical Add-Ons

Common add-ons may include:

  • DNS — Enables domain name resolution for hosted sites.
  • Online Folders — Grants shared or personal cloud storage capacity (e.g., 1 Folder or 1 GB packages).
  • POP/IMAP Account 1 User — Adds a single mailbox license for standard email services.
  • FTP 1 User — Allows file transfer access to VirtuWorks-hosted storage.
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop 1 Server / 1 Collection / 1 User — Adds RDS infrastructure components.
  • Microsoft 365 Business Standard — Provides office productivity suite with mail, Teams, and file storage.
  • Exchange Online Plan 1 — Offers mailbox and calendar hosting through Microsoft Exchange.
  • Web Hosting 1 Site — Allocates resources for hosting a single website within the space.

Best Practices

  • Regularly review the list of add-ons to identify unused or expired components.
  • Deactivate or remove test add-ons to reduce clutter and simplify license tracking.
  • Ensure critical add-ons such as Microsoft 365 or Exchange licenses remain Active and properly allocated.
  • Monitor Quantity values to verify that all purchased resources are in use.
  • Use Column Visibility to focus on relevant service types when managing large hosting environments.
