    Hello,

We can’t get the letsencrypt function to work on our server. Running 2012R2 with SNI on and ACME installed folloing suggested manual. When trying to install a cert we get the following error:

ERROR: LetsEncrypt is unable to validate domain http://www.komma.pro on site komma.pro
System.Exception: LetsEncrypt is unable to validate domain http://www.komma.pro on site komma.pro
at MSPControl.Providers.Web.LetsEncrypt.ValidateHostName(Runspace runspace, String hostName, String siteName, String& identifierRef)

this site is available without problems.

Our webserver is behind NAT and resolves internal IPadressses for the sites, as it cannot connect to the external IP. Maybe this has something to do with the problem?

    Regards,

    Frans

It appeared mostly migrated websites had the “<virtualDirectoryDefaults allowSubDirConfig=”false” />” set in applicationhost.config so the generated control files were not found. All OK now!
